The Criminal Court on Thursday refused to consider police's request seeking further detention of the three red-shirt leaders as police already have authority to detain them under a state of emergency.
Under the state of emergency, police have the right to detain suspects for three times and seven days for each time.
So the three can be detained for 21 more days.
The three red-shirt leaders -- Veera Musikhapong, Nattawut Saikua and Weng Tojirakarn.
